Abstract

Abstract: This paper aims to examine the dynamics of family law renewal in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Where there was upheaval and struggle between the secular elite and the Ulama in Iran from 1927 to today. The method of writing this article uses library research by digging up information related to the theme of the study. The results of this study indicate that the dominant Islamic Republic of Iran adheres to Shia Imamiyyah (Ja'fari). But it also accommodates the Hanafi (Sunni) school of thought in the field of marriage law. Iranian family law has gone through many changes. Since 1928, the issue of divorce and early marriage has been regulated in the Qanun Madani Iran which came into effect in 1930, the Marriage Law was then enacted in 1931. After three decades had passed, in 1967 there was a reform, Marriage Law was replaced by the Family Protection Act, until in 1975 it was replaced with Protection. of Family.
