Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the pedagogical competence and English language skills of madrasah and Islamic boarding school teachers in Bengkulu Province through the application of the Present, Practice, and Production (PPP) method. The program was implemented using a participatory training approach for 20 teachers from 10 educational institutions consisting of madrasahs and Islamic boarding schools. The activity took place over eight meetings with a combination of offline and online face-to-face sessions. The material focused on strengthening four language skills: reading, speaking, listening, and writing through contextual thematic topics. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' confidence in speaking English, their ability to construct simple sentences, and increased active participation in the learning process. The PPP method has proven effective because it provides systematic learning stages: presentation of material, directed practice, and independent language production. This program also demonstrates the importance of continuing needs-based training for teachers to strengthen the quality of English learning in religious education environments.
