The use of digital technology has made various aspects of life easier, including in rural areas. However, the use of devices without proper supervision can pose a risk of addiction among children. This study aims to identify the contributing factors, as well as the health, social, and academic impacts, and to explore prevention strategies for gadget addiction among children in TPA Desa Air Sebakul. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving early childhood 0-6 years, parents, teachers, and community leaders. The data were then analyzed through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, applying source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that easy access to technology, lack of supervision, and limited alternative activities are the main factors contributing to gadget addiction. This condition affects children’s physical health, reduces their social abilities, and decreases their concentration and academic performance. These findings highlight the importance of the roles of parents, educators, and the community in providing supervision, offering alternative activities, and strengthening digital literacy to maintain a balanced child development.
